All trains lead to Rome

A travelling day again. We left behind the beauty and serenity of Venice for the big city hustle of Rome.

I’m a big fan of train travel and today proved a great example of why I rate it. Sitting back and watching Italy stream past your window is both relaxing and beautiful.

I also liked how the train had a buffet carriage where you can sit down. Something more British trains should have.

Once in Rome we took in the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps.

Trevi Fountain Rome

The fountain is immense. I was expecting something small and ornate but was presented with something huge and detailed.

We went twice in total. Once in the afternoon and again in the evening. If anything it’s even more beautiful when lit up.
